#Valentine‘s Day.I was married then, this is all the more poignant now that I’m single….
As we enter into Valentine’s Day weekend I’d encourage you to not get caught up in the hype of the holiday itself. There’s nothing wrong with celebrating if you choose, but our value or relationships cant be based on man-made set days on a calendar.
If you have someone in your life, love must be primary every day of your life, the 14th, 15th, 26th, every day.
If you are not in a relationship, your value has nothing remotely to do with this fact. You mean more to more people than you know, you are always loved and dont need a holiday to remind yourself of this.
Today, right now, love surrounds you. Receive it.
Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great and abundant is Your stability and faithfulness.
(Lamentations 3:22-23, NIV and Amplified Bible)
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not destroyed, devoured or used up by our worries, burdens or pain. His deep harmony with and natural connection to our feelings never stops functioning. It’s actually made afresh every morning. It is never recycled or reused, we can only gain more of it each day. It is strong and continual. Therefore we can be established and unwavering in our being, character, task and purpose. We can be firmly established, resistant to deterioration and firm in our position. Because He is firm in His position. He is loyal, always keeping His promises and His word, and He is dedicated to this.
